Dakhla 2013

London to Dakhla Charity run March 2013

So, we are all setting off on Thursday 14th March and heading down to Dover to cross over on the ferry to Calais.  We will then head down through France and Spain to the port of Tarifa, where we hope to catch a Ferry on Monday 18th March to Tangier….  Then the extreme fun begins… as we drive down through Morocco to the Western Sahara and down to the Mauritanian Border, where we hope to sell the cars for more charitable funds.

There are 4 of us going in 2 cars – so we purchased 2 Subaru Forresters for under £500 each (eBay is great isnt it ). We decided to take the same cars incase one breaks down, so we can use the second car for spares and all jump in together…

Oooo, what a lovely route. Be careful if you return the same way – I had a young Moroccan hide UNDER a coach in Morocco, and we didn’t discover he was there until we were 200km into Spain. Scarey. Have lots of fun – wish I was coming too!!!
